A few years ago, the students from our professional floral design courses, rose the question if they could not acquire the floral-aid materials they where using during the course. This way, it would be easier to continue practicing at home when class was finished. The problem was, and still is, that these materials are very hard to come by. As an extra service towards our students, we started to sell these materials in the school… and our little shop became a fact!

This tiny ‘Floral Design Supplies’ shop grew rapidly, interested customers from ‘outside’ the school, came by to shop at our store, at the Legmeerdijk, on a regular basis, to buy tools, decoration and flower arranging materials. Quality products, but we also have cheaper alternatives. All of this for a very reasonable price. Our shop sells everything you could want for your hobby, or your job: from Oasis®-products to wires and flower tape, ribbon and corsage pins and from floral postcards to gifts.

After a while, a ‘few’ floral design books and magazines where added to the collection. This turned out to be a smart move. The little shop soon got to big, and we had to expand the area where the shop is located. Our numerous national and international students where very happy with this expansion.
A permanent collection of more then a 100 different (international) books, is something really special.

Supported by loads of compliments, our ‘bookstore’ developed in way that we could not ignore the idea of a web shop any longer. The enormous demand from abroad for flower arranging materials, magazines and books is still increasing. We couldn’t and wouldn’t deny it anymore, and so our online shop is a reality. Our ‘FDS- web shop’ is ‘in the air’.
